Cross Country finishes in top 10

The MVNU men’s cross country team came in ninth place out of the 16 teams that competed in the All-Ohio Invitational hosted by Cedarville University on Saturday. The women’s team placed fifth out of 15 teams.

MVNU sophomore Brennan Crawford came in 33rd place out of 109 runners with an 8K time of 27:22.1. Sophomore De-Andre Steward placed 39th with a time of 27:39.2.

For the women, senior Annie Winkler finished with a 6K time of 23:10.6. Winkler beat out Laura Tweedie of Malone University by .9 seconds for a 14th place finish out of 101 runners. Senior Rebekah Mullins edged Maggie Kroll of Walsh University for 27th place overall with a final time of 24:11.6.

The Cougars will be back in action on Oct. 14 at the Jenna Strong Fall Classic hosted by Wilmington College.
