MVNU Music Department presents fall scholarship recital

The MVNU Music Department presents the 2016-17 music scholarship recipients recital tonight at 7:30 p.m.

This recital will take place in the R.R. Hodges Chapel and will feature a variety of music styles and vocal performances from MVNU students receiving financial scholarships.

Sophomore Eddie Dilts is thankful for the opportunity to perform at the recital.

“The recital is important,” he said. “It gives scholarship recipients a chance to show that they are not only deserving of the scholarship, but are constantly working to improve their musical abilities.”

The event will include performances from students in various majors and years.

There will be vocal performances from seniors Aubrey Bailey, Ethan Hutchinson, Austin Miller, Danielle Shaver, Kendra Vosler and sophomore Allen Terwilliger.

Instrumental presentations will be featured from juniors Kathryn Suggs (flute), Riley Zimmerman (piano), sophomores Eddie Dilts (french horn), Michael Forney (trumpet), Taylor Hendershott (organ) and Drew Juniet (percussion.

All students, faculty, staff, alumni and community members are invited to attend. The event is free, and a reception will follow the performances.
