Friday Night Live returns to MVNU
MVNU presents Friday Night Live this Friday, Dec. 2, at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. in Thorne Performance Hall.
FNL is a comedy stage production similar to the popular Saturday Night Live but with an MVNU twist.
“We strive to make it funny and relevant to our campus, and if not to campus, then other cultural trends going on that our community is talking about,” VP of Social Life Spencer Chajkowski said.
Many FNL veterans will return to the stage including seniors Jessica Wells, Megan Zaborski, Caleb Gibbs and Jeremiah Wrucke.
Communication Department Chair Joe Rinehart will take the stage as this year’s host with Zach Sherman as the musical guest.
All proceeds of this semester’s FNL ticket sales will be given to support Dafne Bianchi’s family. Bianchi, 19, was an elementary education major at MVNU. She died in October at the James Cancer Hospital in Columbus.
“We wanted to show support to Dafne’s family in this season of change for them,” Chajkowski said. “We saw FNL as a great way to raise money to show support to her family.”
Tickets will be on sale during lunch and dinner in the cafeteria lobby this week. Tickets are $3 with the pass or $5 without.
If an SGA member is not present in the lobby, students should go to the SGA office.
